Akissi is a young girl growing up in a livelyneighborhood of a contemporary African city, where children spend their daysplaying in the streets.

She has a strong personality and a sharp tongue,proudly stands up for equality between girls and boys, takes care of babies,devours sweets, rescues animals, quarrels with her brothers and sisters… andabove all, constantly gets herself into trouble.

Driven by the highly expressive drawing style ofMathieu Sapin, Akissi’s everyday adventures speak to children everywhere.Because from Africa to Europe, mishaps and mischief are universal.
